Physically, your one-year-old is highly active. They crawl frequently and can easily get into a sitting position without any assistance. They will pull themselves up using furniture to stand, take tentative steps while cruising along the edges of tables or sofas, and even stand independently. During play, they might try to kick a ball or attempt to throw it over their head. They also love to climb onto chairs or into an adult's lap.

Language and Communication Milestones

In terms of communication, your child is finding their voice. They will make sounds with expressive intonations that mimic actual talking, and they are in the babbling stage, frequently repeating sounds like 'dada', 'baba', and 'mama'. They love to imitate the words you say and can use simple body gestures, such as waving goodbye. Your child can easily distinguish their parents' voices and will respond when you call their name.
